The U.S. Census Bureau has redefined a number of census tract boundaries throughout Rhode Island. Changes may have been requested by the community or necessitated by federal law governing population and housing thresholds. These adjustments represent changes made to 1990 census tracts in the creation of 2000 census tracts.
CT = Census Tract
North Kingstown C.T. 501.03 has ceded the area east of Post Road (Rte. 1) to C.T. 501.04. Southern boundary of C.T. 501.04 has been extended north to Chadsey Street and Heritage Road to Potter Road.
C.T. 502 has ceded the entire area to C.T. 501.03
