The Statewide Planning Program is located in the Department
of Administration's William E. Powers Building, on Providence's Capitol
Hill opposite the State House. The Powers Building is easily accessible
from Interstate Route 95.
From I-95 northbound, the State Offices Exit leads directly to
State Street, which bounds the Powers Building's grounds on the east.
From I-95 southbound and the Route 6 - 10 connector eastbound, follow the Downtown Providence Exit ramps to the first traffic signal.
Turn left at the signal on Francis St. and follow Francis up the hill,
bearing left around the State House. The Powers building is at the top
of the hill directly across Smith Street.
Rail service is available to the Providence Amtrak station, located
just to the south of the State House, within walking distance of the Powers
Building.
Bus service to the Powers Building is provided via the R.I. Public
Transit Authority's Smith Street and Chalkstone/Mt. Pleasant routes. Call
